the ultramarine

of the shimmering sea

felt so so good

as we drove by the promenade

where the sun worshippers

were sprawled

on colourful beach towels

...I heard the water ripples whispering

telling me to come lay down

to feel the heat

and enjoy the people

I could feel freedom in the air

I wanted to go

then I saw the face masks
